Birmingham CAB is delighted that it won the Citizens Advice “Access for All” award at its recent AGM. This award is given to the bureau which offers an outstanding multi-channel advice service to meet clients’ needs in a way of their choosing. We are especially pleased that we won this in our 75th anniversary year.
We are proud of how our volunteers and staff have stepped up to help the bureau expand its advice services through our telephone Adviceline, email advice, as well as face to face drop in services in community locations. Our new website helps clients find the support they need.
We are also collaborating with partners on developing better access to advice through “Gateway to Birmingham Advice Services” (GBAS) a Big Lottery funded project, which formed part of our award. GBAS is currently made up of fifteen locally based organisations working together to improve access to advice and services for everyone in Birmingham.
